Pantone Variations

That we are shifted, subtly and profoundly, is the thing.

Pantone Variations is an extensive series of interconnected variations, bringing together dance artists across the U.S. The project generates performed works uniquely tailored to the performers - their interests, delights, pleasures, training, and needs. Each work moves in and out of unison, expanding what it means to be/live/thrive together through generous, active, responsive, and bold movement practice. The choreographies produced are meticulously detailed - from spatial design and repetitive variations to precisely nuanced weighted rhythm. Yet, they are also mechanisms for support and togetherness. Pantone is practice as research, research in performance, and performance as practice. Therefore, each variation has it’s own goals, outputs, and revisitations.

All Tomorrows

Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Dance Place in Washington D.C. / TIX and info

Created with Daniel Miramontes, Rebecca Steinberg, MK Ford, Brit Falcon, Bree Breeden, and Emilia Bruno.

Co-Presentation at Dance Place: That our lives are shifted by one another, subtly and profoundly, is central to “All Tomorrows.” As if following something mysterious as it moves through the landscape of thought, the choreography draws each dancer’s individual contributions and stories into the overall poeticism of the piece. Through rhythm, speed, and intensity, the movement is vibrant and expressive—saturated and brimming with color.

Featuring Christina Robson and sound collage by Kendra Portier with original contributions from Adam Crawley aka DJ Plié and Sam Crawford.
