PROCESS BLOG

An archive of thinking and making… As things develop, get messy, start to make sense, go boom, and then, hopefully, there it is… bringing more to think about and tinker with.

Movement for COMMUNION

January 09, 2021

(a thank you to Janessa Clark and Jennifer Nugent)

This footage is for Jenn Nugent - prompted by the invitation to duet with Jenn via Janessa Clark's "Communion" Project, Duet #8. Janessa’s project gave me a push to get moving again, technical logistics, and most importantly a sense of commune. This arose in my moving body because of Jenn and Janessa. Not as something demonstrative or product, but simply by thinking about this person I love and revere and am fortunate to know and learn from. This immediately connected me back into my own commune - family, lost loved ones, distant friends, memories… which is very much how I experience color… like a surge of communing people and time layered into bone and sinewy folds.
